along US1 is not quite a mile a minute (about 45 MPH) so you can estimate your travel time to
different keys by their mile marker.

  • Cudjoe Gardens Marina  two streets over, has dockage, boat service, and kayak rentals.
  • Big Pine Boat Rentals has 15 boats, from 18' to 28' for rent from Summerland or Big Pine
    Key. From there you can go to Looe Key or Bahia Honda Park.
  • National Key Deer Refuge is on Big Pine Key. The visitor center is on Key Deer Blvd. 1/4 mile
    north of the traffic light on US 1, in the Big Pine Key Plaza (also called Winn-Dixie plaza).

Groceries
  • Kickin' Back convenience store is within walking distance on the corner of Colson Drive and
    US1.
  • Murray's Market is on Summerland Key, 24550 Overseas Hwy, 5 minute drive north. Full
    line grocery market with fresh meat, sandwiches made to order with Boar's Head meats,
    fresh produce, wine & beer, fresh bakery goods, many unique and gourmet items. 7 am to 8
    pm weekdays.
  • Winn-Dixie supermarket is on Big Pine Key, MM 15, in the Big Pine Key plaza.
  • Publix, Winn-Dixie, Albertson's are available in Key West.

Shopping
  • Summerland Key has the nearest gas station,  which also carries fishing bait & supplies.
  • There is also Ace Hardware,
  • Summerland Sandal and Sumsand Surf Co. has sandals, swimsuits, hats, sunglasses.
  • Big Pine Key has a Bank of America, First State Bank, a post office, Walgreens and CVS
    drug & convenience store open 8 am to 10 pm, and Beall's clothing store.
  • Super RadioShack store is in the Big Pine Key plaza.
